Janie Lou Belanger, 79, of Pawtucket, RI, passed away on December 22, 2023. Janie was born in Kilgore, Texas to Japhet Adams II and Eleanor (Garig) Adams on March 18, 1944. She went to high school at Pawtucket West and graduated in 1963. She worked as a Inventory Control Specialist for Stearn Leach until retirement. She enjoyed camping, bingo, crocheting and spending time with family and pets.
Janie is survived by her daughter, Cheri Belanger with whom she resided; a granddaughter, Ashley Colmenares and her spouse Richard; brothers, “Hank” Japhet Adams III of North Carolina and Pete Adams and his spouse Marlene of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her spouse, Charles; her siblings, twin sister, Jennie Lippe, Betty Robillard, “Fran” Mary Leonetti, Catherine Rochford, Brenda Harvey, and Lillian Alcala.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, December 28th from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Private burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
